About the Photographer: Kim Lee
I love to photograph those who impact the world through education, service, arts and culture. I am inspired by those who follow their passion and love to capture that though my lens.
I specialize in commercial, editorial, business, event, portrait and fine art photography.
My passion for photography was ignited in 2007 while shooting a Mekong River cultural celebration at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C. It personally impacted me since it showcased the part of the world where I was born. I however, need to give credit to my grandmother, who passed on the love of photography on to me. As far back as I could remember she always had a camera at every family gathering and she was known to travel the world documenting her adventures along the way.
My work was recently selected as the best of the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival 2013.
